THE ROSEVILLE HISTORICAL SOCIETY was founded in 1998 and is a private non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Roseville, Ohio. The Society seeks to achieve this mission through a variety of public programs, including exhibits, lectures, walking tours, and a research library. Since the Society is still evolving, many of the programs mentioned above have not yet been implemented. Check back with us periodically for an update on our status.

Roseville Historical Museum Now Open

The Roseville Historical Museum is open six years after the Roseville Historical Society first started collecting memorabilia of the small village. . . more.

The museum is open the first Sunday of each month from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $2.00 for adults and .50 for children.

Location and History

The village of Roseville is located approximately 10 miles southwest of Zanesville, Ohio. Incorporated in 1840, Roseville is home to some of the finest American pottery produced in the 20th century. Currently four properties are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with plans to add several more in the coming year.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Roseville Historical Society relies on volunteers of all ages to assist on projects planned for the coming year. Opportunities include research, event planning, guiding walking tours of downtown Roseville, and a variety of special projects. Individuals interested in volunteering should contact Mrs.Ungemach, Volunteer Coordinator, at (740) 697-7127 or via email at bonnie.ungemach@sbcglobal.net.

Membership Information

The Roseville Historical Society is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of its friends and supporters to preserve, promote, and celebrate the history of our community. Members receive a quarterly bulletin which announces four programs a year, discounts on Society publications, and advance notice of special events. Individuals may become members of the Society by making a contribution in the amounts as follows:

Family  $15.00
Business  $100.00

Membership runs with the calendar year. Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent provided by the law. For more information contact the Society at (740) 697-7127.
